When Your Bestie Comes to Visit

When your best friend comes to visit and brings her husband and her kids, your house comes alive with noise, toys, piles of laundry, happy dogs, and life.

For the fourth year in a row, my friend Sarah came to visit and to go to the Minnesota State Fair.

It’s tradition.

Joining her and her daughter Molly for the first time this year was her husband and their second daughter, baby Mia. I love that our crew keeps growing. (Can’t wait to see who is new next year!)

3 kiddos + 4 adults on our way to @minnstatefair !

Grateful we now have a minivan. Four adults + three car seats is a tight squeeze!

Thirsty babies at the end of the day. Whew. #minnstatefair12

(Borrowed this Double Bob from my friend Karla, and I don’t want to give it back!)

We went out to eat, played in the playroom, went on walks, went to the Fair twice (once with kids and once without), went swimming and just enjoyed spending time together.

On Sunday, after a morning at the swim pond, we just hung around and watched Molly’s favorite movie—Rio. It gave me a little glimpse into how it would be with a big ole family. Loud. People always talking over the movie. Maybe a baby always crying. But good. So, so good.

Full living room for a lazy Sunday. #latergram

And of course we also had to squeeze in our annual photoshoot.

Aww tears! I can’t believe the visit has come and gone so quickly. Yowsers it was loud! But so very awesome. Molly has already started her Fair List 2013. Top of the list? The “Silly” House. Can’t wait for 4 kiddos next year! Wee!
