I am joining the Gratitude Community at Ann Voskamp’s blog, a Holy Experience. I found Ann’s blog when she was announced as one of the Compassion bloggers going to Guatemala this fall. Multitude Monday is about counting your way 1,000 things you are grateful for, as an act of worship.
Gratitude is such a funny thing. The more we practice it, the more we notice how much we truly have to be thankful for. It was a hard week, relatively. But we are not without gratitude.
#1-10
• My Redeemer lives. I am so utterly grateful that we serve a living God who is active, alive and involved.
• Wedding vows
• Smiling dogs
• Amazing, talented friends who send me surprises like this:
(A line drawing of one of our favorite wedding pictures by Ky Eliza.)
• My husband’s laugh. It is my daily goal to get him giggling. Sometimes it makes me laugh so hard I feel like my head might pop.
• Iced coffee, especially shared with friends.
• Buttery, sweet french toast that melts in your mouth.
• Text messaging that makes it feel like I don’t really live 1100 miles away.
• Clean, fresh water that I can get at the turn of a tap.
• Blue skies with big, fluffy clouds. Especially the day after a big storm.

This is a wonderful idea! I’m going to do this with Bernie every night.
